District 3 authorized a $15,000 donation to the Gardere Community Christian School. The Louisiana Constitution strictly prohibits the donation of public funds to private associations, regardless of their mission. This $15,000 was never presented for a Metro Council vote, but it was certainly taken from the pockets of Entergy ratepayers.
